Hello Friends! Welcome to a new week.
At one time or another, all of us will face times of uncertainty. It appears that the only place free of uncertainties is heaven. But now we’re on earth, it’s something we have to deal with on a daily basis.
You’re about to graduate from college and have no idea what you will doing after school, or you got a new job and you are not confident with the uncertainties you might face. It could be that you lost your job or you resigned and as much as you feel hopeful, you’re still surrounded with evidences of uncertainties, or maybe you’re single and wonder if you’ll ever get married. Your life may even be so uncertain you don’t know where your next meal will come from.
I’ll say Keep Calm because nothing is certain. We aren’t guaranteed our next meal. We aren’t even guaranteed our next heartbeat. Even when we feel secure, we are incredibly fragile and completely dependent on the Lord for every breath and that’s why we need to have Faith because Faith is living in the face of uncertainties.
The Bible in Mathew 6:34 says “Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes”
Post 7 (The Journey to Significance #7), tells us about the God factor in Significance. You cannot live through uncertainties without the help of God.
In living through uncertainties;
Set Goals according to God’s Direction
“We may make our plans, but God has the last word” Proverbs 16:1. It’s silly to make plans without consulting God. In other words, planning without praying is presumption. Start by praying, Ask God for direction.
One step at a time
No matter how you plan for tomorrow, you can’t live it until it arrives. As much as yesterday is gone and tomorrow is next, don’t get carried away that you don’t pay attention to today. Most people spend so much time regretting the past and worrying about the future and they end up having no time to enjoy today.
John Lennon once wrote, “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.” tweet
Do IT NOW!
The best time for anything to be done is now. There’s no reward in procrastinating. tweet
The book of wisdom in proverbs 27:1 advices that we should not boast about tomorrow because we do not know what will happen between now and then.
What did you plan to get done last year that you didn’t do? When do you intend to start working on it? You don’t have to start by building a castle on the air, start from where you are and with what you have, start small and avoid procrastination.
As you move through the Journey of Life this week, it’s my prayer that you will live according to God’s direction and make the right decisions.
Hoping to read a comment from you. Have a great week.
God Bless you.
