LOVE TALK: CHOOSING WHO TO LOVE

In case you have five proposals for  relationships like Sade, or you are like me who had four ladies on my list some two years ago, or maybe you are even too afraid you might end up with the devil, and choosing is not even in sight for you, then read on. In this post, I have included a chat I had with a friend on blackberry messenger some days ago (thus the conversation format and some chat languages and abbreviations), and with her permission, I have decided to share it with you my dear readers.
But before we get into it, relationship, next to money is the most discussed, researched, and at the same time the most dreaded endeavour, for reasons not far fetched; everyone wants a perfect relationship. By perfect relationship, they mean a relationship with the best guy or lady in town at their desired time (definition of the best being relative to every individual; carriage, package, gentlemanliness, financial buoyancy, future prospects…to list a few). But very few seem to be lucky with it; the rate of breakups and divorces attests to this fact.
If you ask me, I can with certainty say no one enjoys a good relationship by the reason of luck, if you ask the two partners they will tell you they worked for it.
This article aims to give some wisdom on the very first key that sets the foundation for a great relationship: CHOOSING.
In a community where an average lady has at least two “chikers” and additional two social network stalkers with a probability of these numbers rising every passing week if these ladies let down their guard, smile at every compliment, and serve out their numbers to every new acquaintance or returning old friends; in a community where almost every guy has at least a back up plan for every “will you be my girlfriend?” asked if the answer returns with a conclusive NO, how can we make the right choice?
I hope my chat with Sade provides some wisdom, more of which will come from the “LOVETALK” category on lifegiva2.com, at least once every week.
So, Let’s get right to it.
Sade.:
Can I ask u sumfin?
Tee Abraham:
Sure
Sade.:
How do you make d right choice…wen u av so many options?
Tee Abraham:
Hmm…good question
Tee Abraham:
First, dnt rely on ur wisdom, or expertise, or intuition, or smart plans or good judgment nd all, Cos pple or tns re nt always as dey seem
Sade.:
Okay…
Tee Abraham:
D person or thing u think might be it, might just not be it, might be fake or shallow or can’t handle tns like u like and on nd on
Tee Abraham:
Our head isn’t always rite
Though it’s good to be logical nd all, u look @his height, his physique, his job or prospect … bt things change and people change,
Tee Abraham:
That leads to my next point
Sade.:
Which is?
Tee Abraham:
Which is, d way to making a great choice is by getting d adequate/right information.
If u make a decision based on a wrong or insufficient info, it can be bad
Like I purchased Airtel 1000 Naira BIS thinking it was 800MB just to finish it in 3days to realise that it was 200mb
Tee Abraham:
So, make sure u have the adequate information, no assumption,
Sade.:
I get ur point..
Tee Abraham:
Like in choosing a boyfriend now, considering only the physical or d present and not who or what he is changing into can be disastrous
Like choosing a job without knowing what is expected of you or the future of the job or your job security aint cool
Tee Abraham:
Am I making sense @all?
Sade.:
Ok…let’s narrow it down a little 😀
Tee Abraham:
Better
Sade.:
I have like 5 guys that realy like me, But I have feelings for none
That one even wants to marry me :]xx
I don’t know if am makin d right decision about anyfin
I don’t like anybody 🙁
Tee Abraham:
Don’t cry Sade
Der’s nothing wrong with you, if that’s what u’re thnkn, nd it’s nt abnormal
Tee Abraham:
Take this from me
Sade.:
Ehen 😀
Sade.:
Okayy..
Tee Abraham:
Love is a decision, the decision precedes d feelings
Love is a choice
Tee Abraham:
I didn’t go all crazy about my babe until after d first time I asked her out.
Don’t get me wrong, B4 den I liked her bt nothing too out of ds world
Sade.:
Hmmm.
Tee Abraham:
It was as if I opened d door of my heart to a love dt had been waiting there for a long while
Tee Abraham:
Loving sm1 is not like Hollywood or Bollywood
Tee Abraham:
Ds is very important
Sade.:
So wot do you suggest I do?
Tee Abraham:
I used to be very anxious about choosing a life partner, I’m always like wt if I make d wrong decision nd get stuck forever wt a devil
Sade.:
Wot did u do then?
Tee Abraham:
Until one day I and a friend of mine joined hands and committed our marital life to God,
Sade.:
How long?
Tee Abraham:
U know God said, be anxious for nothing, but with prayer and io with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God and the peace of God that passes understanding will keep your heart
Tee Abraham:
Dt’s been more than 2 years
Sade.:
Yes o…I know that.!
Tee Abraham:
D bible says God is able to keep whatever is committed into His hands
So I gave it up to him, nd was like if I’m making d wrong choice even if it’s to d point of saying “I do” he should stop me, from dt day I just got ds conviction dt I can’t/won’t miss it
Sade.:
Totally agree..
Tee Abraham:
Dt brings me to d last point, Trust God in ur decision-making, He knows best
Sade.:
Guess I can totally figure out what to do.
Tee Abraham:
He knows way better than u, he knows each of ds guys nd der intention, der future nd all
Sade.:
Or should I say do harder
Sade.:
Yh..
Tee Abraham:
U dnt av to hear His audible voice or see vision,
He knws hw best u’ll hear Him without bein confused, just WAIT
Be patient
Wait for dt inner peace
Sade.:
WORD!
Okay then.
Thank you for reading. I know I couldn’t touch all areas promised, but I will be more practical in the next post by sharing among other things ways to judge the hidden intentions of the proposing guy(s) and some things I think ladies should know about the love life of guys. But i believe you have learnt a thing or two about choosing who to love?
