This is one of my most interesting word in this journey of life. Because, everyone’s got an attitude. From the rude receptionist, to the kind waiter, to the mischievous neighbor, to the amazing friend and to the loving you, everyone’s got a real attitude.
In Today’s post on the Journey to Significance, we’ll be looking at ‘A’ for “Attitude”.
Attitude is said to be a disposition or a tendency to respond positively or negatively towards a certain idea, person or situation.
Attitude influences an individual’s action and character.
What’s the attitude of significance?
The attitude of significance is positive. Your accomplishments, relationships, work, family functions as a result of your attitude. A positive attitude has significant benefits for an individual in many aspects.
Attitude is a way of life. We all have a choice as regards the kind of attitude we want to exhibit. It is said that the difference between a good day and a bad day is your attitude.
Most a times the only thing we can change in our response to life situations and people’s opinions, is our attitude. Attitude determines outcome.
Attitude is everything. From an Alphabet Illustration in Keith Harrell’s book “Attitude is everything”, no matter what you do in life, if you have a positive attitude, you’ll always be 100%
If you assign a numeric value (1-26) to each letter of the alphabet, you will find out that the summation of the numerical equivalent of each alphabet adds up to 100.
I don’t know which other word adds up to 100. Not even sacrifice, faith, influence, courage etc. This implies that our attitude reflects the total percentage of who we really are.
Attitude, is more important than your past, your education, money, than failures or successes, than your present situations. Life is a 100% of how you react to it.
Your attitude defines your level of significance.
What you will or won’t accomplish is your attitude.
Success or failure depends more upon attitude than upon capacity. Your own resolution to be significant all depends on you. Be optimistic, hopeful, cheerful, polite, and courteous and always portray a good character because all these reflects your attitude.
Successful and significant people react to life with a possibility mentality that soon becomes a reality. Act, look, feel successful, conduct yourself accordingly and you will be amazed at the positive results.
I want to recommend Keith Harrell’s Book on Attitude is everything. Keith Harrell is a star. The wall street journal recognized him, as “A star with Attitude”. He shares in this book great secrets that got him where he is today and provides you with a program for developing a healthier, happier attitude.
In Attitude Is Everything, Keith offers an inspiring, enlightening and practical guide for gaining control of your career and your life by clearing yourself of negative attitudinal baggage, building positive attitudes, and then turning them into actions to help you achieve your dreams.

Very nice! I love that ATTITUDE = 100%. Great stuff. The way we see the world is the way the world is. Attitude changes everything. “Attitude determines altitude.”
“The way we see the world is the way the world is”, how true, cos we can experience is another way than we see it. Deep stuffs, thanks again 🙂 Seems we might be a long term friend afterall 😉
Sounds good to me!
True!!! Our attitude determines our altitude. Most times, things happen and we react negatively and over time we hold on to things that hurt us that it turns into a foul attitude even without us knowing it. Iv come to realise that as long as there’s God, there’s always a good reason for things that happen even when they don’t go the way we planned. In such moments, maintaining a positive attitude is all that would keep u from falling apart. It won’t be easy but then again, the Bible reminds us that ‘with God, all things are possible’….
You know that I kept nodding and saying “hmm” as I read through your comment, I totally agree, “As long as there is God, we can trust that He is working all things for our good, if we love Him and seek His purpose”, that should inform a positive attitude even in the worst circumstance, just like Joseph in Egypt.
Thanks so much for contributing, I’m blessed.
