“Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen”. Ralph Waldo Emerson
Making Decisions is a very important factor in life, it’s something that is inevitable, as every day of our life we are confronted with situations that require us to make certain decisions. Everything we do revolves around our decisions.
Decisions determine destiny and Decision determines significance.
From our post on the power of choice, we see that life is a series of choices and you decide what to choose.
Your everyday lifestyle is as a result of your repetitive decisions. For example, you decide to wake up by 5 am, you decide to leave your house by 6 am, you decide to get to work by 7:45 and you decide to close from work by 5:15 pm. And this becomes the way you act every day in your life. You make decisions every day that brings you to your God-ordained destiny.
From Romans 8:28-31 we see that God determines your destiny. And that’s why you need to keep praying and seeking him in helping you make the right decisions in life. And more importantly, work on renewing your mind, so that you will be able to discern what God’s perfect will is. (Reference; Rom 12:2)
There are stories of individuals who have made choices that changed their lives for the better. They are people just like you, with challenges, failures, pasts, and even successes that stood in the way of them following God’s will for their lives. But with a few good decisions, they made their lives count.
The ability to make decisions is a gift we must be thankful for, a person who is behind bars or who is insane is deprived of the ability to decide what he really wants to have or enjoy in life.
Every decision is a choice, there are small decisions, what to wear, what to have for breakfast. There are medium decisions such as the club or association you join, the car to buy, the type of house to live in. and there are large decisions, decisions that have to do with your life. Such as taking a job, city to live, university, who to marry etc.
Your thinking determines your ideology, your ideology determines your decisions, your decisions determine your actions, your actions determine your habit, your habit determines your lifestyle, and your lifestyle determines your destiny”
We need to constantly ask ourselves questions in making decisions. The power to question is the basis of all human progress.
The quality of your life is in direct proportion to the quality of the decisions you make. A person’s dreams can stay dreams and never make it to reality by the sheer fear of making a bad decision and sometimes you make the right decision, sometimes you make the decision right.
In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is to do the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing. When you make a decision back it up with the right actions.
You have a right to decisions
The question now is, what have you decided to do with your life?
God Bless you.
