HE DIDN'T ASK YOU TO CLIMB THE MOUNTAIN; DISSOLVE IT

moving-mountains (2)Welcome to a little bible study, it promises to be interesting but much more enlightening. Come along with me to Mark 11:23

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says (it will be done for him). Mark 11:23

One of the reasons I love the scriptures so much is the simplicity with which it was delivered. Its wisdom are binding and holds true anywhere and everywhere. Let us get into today’s lessons.

  • LESSON 1 – FOR ASSUREDLY;  I will like to reiterate this in different translations; TLB- this is the absolute truth, NLT- I assure you, KJV- For verily I say unto you, NCV- I tell you the truth, GW- I can guarantee this truth, ESV- Truly, I say to you. I don’t really know any other assurance we need from Jesus, that the truth about to come after this is not a lie or just a mere attempt to get us excited.
  • LESSON 2 – WHOEVER; Whoever means whoever, your identity, gender, personality or profession regardless. A lot of times we think God answers prayers or responds to our cry to Him based on our personality, that maybe pastors have His attention more than the street beggars do, LIE, he says whoever, are you part of the whoever? Then you can make mountains move.
  • LESSON 3 – SAY TO THIS MOUNTAIN, ‘GO’;  In this context, a mountain can be anything standing as an obstruction or limitation on your part to success or well-being, be it failure, lack, sickness, stagnation…name it. Jesus says don’t begin to struggle with it, just tell it to leave. Remember what I shared in the post “Running from a toothless lion”, some things are just too small to take a sweat off your face.
  • LESSON 4 – IT WILL BE DONE FOR HIM; You might want to ask why I’m making it sound so easy? I’m not making it sound easy because it is actually easier than the way I’m making it look, why? You are not the one moving the mountain, you own job is to give the order, and then it shall be done for you. By who? You might want to ask, my answer is “does it matter?”.

So the next time you are faced with a challenging situation, before you start running about to one pastor or the other, remember, Jesus asked you to just give the order to the mountain to GO, be removed and be cast into the sea and believing that He that asked you to command is able to keep His word, you will have WHATEVER you say.

Is someone blessed? I will be excited to know how this has been of help to you. Share this with your family and friends, with your bible study group. Let it be of help to someone else via you.
