LIVE FACE UNCOVERED

Imagine on getting to the gate of heaven, as otherwise preached about an angel checking your name in the book of life to see if you will be shown the great golden city or damned to the place of eternal torment; the lake of fire.

Imagine all you need to enter heaven is just a score card based on people’s recommendation or commendation. Picture a scorecard of maximum attainable point of 100, having the pass mark as 70. You earn either 10 points or 0 from every “appender”.

The ten persons that will score you will be one from the every closest contacts you had during your journey on earth. And these may include;

    1. 1. Family – Mother/Father
    1. – Child (if any)
    1. 2. School – Bunkie/roommate/coursemate
    1. 3. Office – Boss
    1. – Client
    1. – Colleague
    1. 4. Church – Pastor
    1. 5. Others – House maid
    1. – Cobler/Barber/Hair stylist, Auto mechanic…
    1. – Street beggar

Ok, now we have ten. It’s simple, all they have to do is say whether you were a “true” Christian in lifestyle and deeds when on earth. So judge yourself, if these were to be true, will you make a pass mark of 70, and will you enter heaven?

What I’m indirectly saying is if entering into heaven is by the testimony of people you have been in contact with, be it a prolonged or short one, will they append you as a Christian? Does your life, conduct and communication portray you as a Christian, or are you just a Christian because you said the sinner’s prayer, and you dropped the life at the altar, quit living; stopped growing.

Or you are the kind that is too ashamed of Christ and you keep your born-again identity to yourself and the page of your bible where the date of your new-birth was appended? What people will say or call you if you live different from them bothers you so much. So you just follow the train, blend in while in their midst and you can switch back to your Jesus mode when in church. If these where to be the judge of you entering that golden city, will you make it?

You know, I tell myself that it won’t matter then anymore what anyone thought about me or the name they called me or the age or class I seemed to belong when I’m in eternal glory with a mansion to myself and a crown of glory, but we seemed to have misplaced priority and act like we won’t leave here anymore.

Rom. 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ…”

Matthew 10:33 (TLB) But if anyone publicly denies me, I will openly deny him before my Father in heaven.

Mark 8:38 (NLT) “If a person is ashamed of me and my message in these adulterous and sinful days, I, the Son of Man, will be ashamed of that person when I return in the glory of my Father with the holy angels.”

This post is not to condemn anyone, but to call us to order and wake us out of this slumber. The night is far gone, the day of his return will soon be here. So quit the evil deeds of darkness and put on the armour of right living, as we who live in the daylight should! Be decent and true in everything you do so that all can approve your behaviour. (Romans 13:12 (TLB)

In summary, “LET THE WORLD SEE JESUS IN YOUR LIFE”
