3. Talk about what you feel

When we feel stressed, worried, sad, etc at the same time it may be difficult to unbox but you need to talk about how you feel because the mind has a way of magnifying issues. Talking brings a form of clarity.

Who do I speak to? You can talk to a trusted friend or anyone you feel you can be open to that will listen to you. If for any reason you still can’t reach out to anyone. You can write about how you feel or just do a recording of how you feel. Whatever you need to do to give words to what’s going on in your headspace please do.

Going for a walk, mild or vigorous exercises, boxing, etc are activities that can help you get more air in plus they give expression to all the bottled up emotions. Exercises may also promote feelings of pleasure, peace, well-being and help relieve the pain of depression. Exercise is considered a natural remedy for anxiety because it releases powerful endorphin chemicals in the brain, which act like the body’s built-in painkillers and mood-lifters.

Also, research on depression, anxiety, and exercise shows that the psychological and physical benefits of exercise can also help improve mood and reduce anxiety.
