How Far Away From God Is Too Far to Return? Never Far!

I have heard many people tell me that they have gone too far, and too many times that they will rather just stay away from God than keep breaking His heart. If you are one of such persons, asking “At What Distance From God are you Too Far to Return?” Jo Deep answered that in his new single; Never Far.

Do you remember the in the Bible where a Prophet by the name Hosea married a prostitute (of course because God told him to), and every time the wife left him and returned to prostitution, he always went back to get her? Oreoluwa Macaulay in a beautiful spoke world piece acts the role of the prostitute wife, which is every one of us.

I followed mother’s footsteps instead of yours. Eve explored, fell, ran and hid so I did. The story hasn’t changed since Eden, you still come looking for me. Have you forgotten your bride is sick with pride making it difficult for her to stay by your side even if she tried?

Like the prodigal son’s prodigy, straying from you made me feel lost and destitute. I brought you so much disrepute! Yet for me, love was still in active pursuit.

My soul clings to the dust, I am out of reach. [ You’re never far ]. This valley will swallow me, Lover can you hear me? Maybe, just maybe your hands are too short to save me. Have you cast me aside, do you not love me anymore? [ You’re never far ]

Like Adam and Eve, when we sin and hide out of shame, He will still reach out to us, cover our nakedness. Like the Prodigal son, the forever loving, forever patitent father is waiting to catch the slightest glimpse of you returning, and He is going to run to catch and embrace you, and give you His ring reaffirming your place in His house and throw you a party before you change your mind.

Like Adam and Eve, when we sin and hide out of shame, He will still reach out to us and cover our nakedness. Share on X

35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36 (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.) 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8

The Chorus of Never far by Jo Deep ft Oreoluwa Macauley goes;

No matter how far you go, you are never far
No matter how far you go, you are never far
As long as you can’t run from the wind
Just know that you can’t run from me
You are never far.
Never, never far!!!

The bible says concerning you, he said, “For though a righteous man falls seven times, he will get up – (Prov 24:16)”.  Though he falls, he will not be overwhelmed, for the LORD is holding his hand. (Psalm 37:24).

My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate before the Father— Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. – 1 John 2:1-2.

When God saved you, He knew you were liable to fall, and He made the provision for that. The death and resurrection was sufficient for all your sins, even the ones you haven’t committed yet.Jesus will not come and die again for your sins, He has done it already. So instead of running, take advantage of His provision for your weaknesses.

The death and resurrection of Jesus was sufficient for all your sins, even the ones you haven't committed yet. Share on X

To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—Jude 24

In Jo Deep’s own words;

“When we do not meditate on God’s truth often, it’s amazing how easy it is for the our minds to even begin accepting the idea that we can be too far away from God. Often after we stray into doubt’s depth or sin’s pit, we treat God as though He is a location on a map that we left behind as we strayed. He is not! He is the Whole Map! Never a location on it! You can never be too far from Him!”
