How to Make Heaven? Let Me Show You

It’s no news that a lot of Christians in this age and time strive to please God so that they can “make heaven”. This in itself is all shades of wrong because we can’t make heaven by our own merits! If that was possible, then the Old Covenant law would have been enough for the salvation of man, and there would have been no need for Christ to die.

Let’s read a discussion between Jesus and His disciples that buttresses this point:

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “I assure you: It will be hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven! Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.

When the disciples heard this, they were utterly astonished and asked, “Then who can be saved? ” But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:23‭-‬27 HCSB

So you see, heaven is not a place for those who made it there. It’s for those who put their trust in God to get there.

So you still want to know how to make heaven?

Only believe in your heart and confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus. This is how to “make” heaven. “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.” – Romans 10:9‭-‬10 HCSB

From the foregoing, we see that a man can only be saved by faith. Now make no mistake, a saved man has no place in hell fire! The moment we got saved, the Holy Spirit came to live in us

He is our assurance that Christ is coming for us. Because of His presence in us, we can stand assured that we are citizens and ambassadors of Heaven. And make no mistake, He doesn’t leave a man when he errs as some people believe that if a saved man should sin, the Holy Spirit would leave the person.

Now that we know how to make heaven, what are we supposed to do with this knowledge?

It’s very simple really. Preach the Gospel! Your goal should be to take as many as possible with us to heaven. We want to know God and make Him known!

This is not to say that we should go on sinning. Of course, a citizen of heaven must act like so. But back to the matter at hand, if anyone asks you, “How can I make heaven?” Tell them that we are not saved by our own merits, we are saved by grace through faith. It is a gift of God, lest any man should boast.
