INDIVIDUALITY: The Journey to Significance 9

Filled wine glassesHello, Happy New Month!
Today on the journey to significance we will be looking at INDIVIDUALITY. Yes, the second “I” in significance stands for Individuality.
Individuality is defined to be the character of a particular person that distinguishes him from others of the same kind. Individuality is also defined as the real idea of man, as distinguished from the outer personality.
Your individuality is tied to your significance.
If everyone is doing the same thing, what makes you different? You look and sound like everyone else, no one will find you. If you follow the crowd, you’ll get lost in it
We are all humans but we are created differently. Each of us has a unique DNA that was meant to distinguish us as individuals and to stand out. Even Identical twins still have their differences. The fact that all people are created to be equal, doesn’t mean they end up equal.
Each of us is a separate identity in Mind and no two are alike. Each is an Individualized Center of God’s Consciousness. Your personality is made up of your Divine Individuality.celebrating-individuality
What makes you stand out?
Every day we live, we are faced with equal opportunities to be unequal. And how we make use of this opportunities comes down to our individuality.

For example, if you are an Engineer, student, teacher or whatsoever professional. What is the advantage of someone working with you over your competition? Just like in business there’s a word Competitive advantage, what makes your business different from that of your competitions? The Answer is individuality. There’s no clear advantage unless you embrace your individuality.

You should develop individuality to differentiate yourself to succeed in this competitive world.
How do you define your individuality?

  1. Understand that it is natural. It is orchestrated by God and it requires your subconscious mind to relate to the fact that you are unique and divinely created.
  2. Do what you love no matter what it is or how others think about it. Doing what you love is most a times linked to the reason why you exist.
  3. Believe in yourself. “Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other one thing” Abraham Lincoln
  4. Resolve to stand out, and think differently. It good to think, but think differently, Thinking differently triggers innovation and creativity and makes you be significant.

I can always recall the words of my pastor, Bishop D. Oyedepo. He always says God blesses an individual, not a group of people. Because no one can pray or fast for you as much as you can pray for yourself.
Therefore, if a man is created to become significant, he must be left to discover himself. The discovery process will come along with some experiences, good and bad, but in the end, he’ll come out a real being.Stack of folded shirts and one escaping
Individuality is real personalized self-choice. The self-knowing mind of man proclaims itself in every deed, thought or action, and is truly the only guarantee of his individuality.
The very interesting thing is that there is a Universal Nature of Man, inherent within him, which causes the manifestation of his personality which is the Spirit of God.
The journey of life and the journey to significance is an individual race.
Embracing your individuality will lead you to significance.
