Jireh by Maverick City Music & Elevation Worship(My Playlist)

In recent times, the revelation of God as Jehovah Jireh, which means God our provider, has become so real to me. Not just as a provider for material things, but as a Father who is there for me  when I lose everything; when I have no clue what I’m doing; or when I’m in a very dark place. That’s why I like “Jireh” by Maverick City and Elevation Worship.

There’s a certain peace and contentment that comes with embracing the fact that even when all else fails, having God is Jireh. He will always be enough for me. In every challenge, heartache or even at my lowest lows, I have all I need.

This song brings to mind my reality in Christ. As long as I know Him, I have an assurance in Him that I have been declared loved, chosen, special, and His. Because I’m His, I have everything I need.

His Spirit in me is more than enough for me, so I am enough.

In Christ, there is an assurance of love. Because you are His, you are chosen and special. Because you're His, you have everything you need. Click To Tweet

This song is a song of faith…

When I feel less of myself and insecurities overshadow me, I use this song to remind myself that if Christ in me is more than enough, then I am enough. In Him, I live far above my worries, pain or insecurities.

The part of the song that quotes Matt 6: 26-28 – “If He dresses the lilies in beauty and splendor, how much more will he clothe you? If He watches over every sparrow, how much more does He love you?” – not only baffles me, but gets me all the time. It reminds me of God’s attention to details and how finicky He is with those He loves.

If He dresses the lilies in beauty and splendor, how much more will he clothe you? If He watches over every sparrow, how much more does He love you? – "Jireh", Elevation Worship. Click To Tweet

So whenever I find myself doubting God’s love, I ask myself, “If He gives the flowers and birds this amount of care and affection, what can’t He do for you? You, who He not only made in His image and likeness but also calls His child? Afterwards, I’m like babe, calm down!

The beauty of this song is that it’s scripture filled. It’s a daily devotion and I use it to start my day and speak over my life. It has helped strengthen my spiritual walk at tough time.

So the next time you feel less of yourself, or when you feel at a loss, pick up this song and sing it over your life. Stay strengthened in Jehovah Jireh.

Remember, when you have Jesus, you have everything.
