#MM – You is kind. You is smart. You is important.

you-is-kindThe Help” is still one of my favourite movies of all times even though I had a very hard time watching it from start to finish.
Two scenes of the movie never let me be, the scene where Aibileen Clark (Viola Davis) told that small pretty white girl to say after her “You is kind. You is smart. You is important.“. I could easily tell you to say this to yourself, but I don’t intend it to be another positive confession, but a very true statement about yourself. Often times, we measure ourselves- how smart, pretty or intelligent we are against someone else which we often fall short of except of course, you’re the king of the park. We do this because we forget that “you are you“, no one can be you, you are the youest you that you can be and no other person can be as you as you. If anyone tries to be you, they will fail gallantly.”
You might not have the best body, or ace the physics test- but at being you, you are the best and that is enough because, you have been created to be you, framed perfectly and equipped to fulfil your own purpose.
Just imagine Melissa McCarthy (the fat funny actress in the movie “Spy”, also Tammy, Identity Thief among others) is any skinnier, we won’t know her and she won’t fit in to all those amazing movies she has stared.
So as you go out today, tell yourself, You is kind. You is smart. You is important.

Me is kind. Me is smart. Me is important

Have a great day. 😀 😉
