MY PLAYLIST - Even When It Hurts by Hillsong United

It is extremely easy to give God thanks when everything around us is all good, our friends and families are fine and it seems all is working out well for us. Immediately things change and the negatives set in, it’s the opposite. Instead, it is extremely easy to blame God and be really angry with Him.

The Bible tells us that in all things we should give thanks, be it good or bad. No matter how hard it feels, we are supposed to give God thanks in spite of our problems. It is when we thank God in the midst of misery, trials and hardship that He sets in and stands to fight for us.

The art of thanksgiving is very important to a growing Christian because there are times we would hit rock bottom but as Christians, no matter the issues we face we must learn to say “Be it good or bad Lord your praises would never depart from my lips, Whether the battle is lost or won I’ll continue singing and praising till the miracle comes“.

When we declare this over our lives and continually give God thanks, I believe he’d always show up because He is always true to His words and He tells us in Isa. 45: 19 that he’ll never cause us to seek Him in vain.

So no matter what you go through this month and throughout this year, lay it to heart to give God thanks for the good, the bad and the ugly because He inhabits the praises of His people and we are created to always worship Him.
