No Longer Slaves – Bethel Music (My Playlist)

When I listened to the story behind this song, they spoke about the Israelites going through the red sea. It was the moment they left their slavery and became the children of God. They saw a massive love of a Father who would part the red sea and bring them into the promised land. I thought about how amazing God’s love is and I remembered the scripture Gal 4:7 ” Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child and since you are his child, God has made you his heir”.

This song gave me a clear understanding of John 1:12-13 that says “But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God, they are reborn not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan but a birth that comes from God.”
Therefore, since I have accepted the call of salvation and received Christ as my Lord, I’ve become a new creature, reborn in Christ and I’m born again into God’s family. I’m his child and he loves me. I can cast all my cares and fears to him because I know he listens.
The bridge says “You split the seas so I could walk right through it, my fears are drowned in perfect love“. I’m so sure the Israelites were scared when they got to the red sea and would never have thought they could pass through. Yet, they remembered they had a father who loved with a perfect love, saw them through Egypt and brought them out for a purpose would yet again help them pass through and they called on him and he made a way.

No matter the storms of life you face or go through, Remember as Christians we are now God’s children. Never doubt his love for you and know he will see you through and help calm whatever storm.
