Are you ready? We bring to you…Lifegiva Pick-me-up Playlist!!!
Bolanle: Mine is “The Man” by Aloe Blacc.
I like it because of the vibes of confidence I get when I listen to it. The lyrics are on point and remind me that I can do anything I set my mind to.
There’s also “God Flex” by Tedashii ft. Trip Lee. Makes me feel blessed. Lol.
Sommy: “Jesus is Taking Care of Me” by Moses Bliss. When I listen to it I am constantly reminded that I am God’s dear son and that he is indeed taking care of me.
Tammy: I have three songs right now. “All my eggs” by Demole Makinde cause the assurance that God answers me when I’m in need
There’s also “Insecurities” by Kaytez reminds me that God has taken my insecurities away.
Also, “Good and Loved” by TravisGreene ft Steffany Gretzinger.
It reminds me that no matter the situation God is good and I’m loved by Him.
Olufolake: “The Story I’ll Tell” by Naomi Raine. It reminds me that regardless of how tough my journey seems, God will not fail me.
Moyo: My pick-me-up for the past week has been “Sacrificium” by Xandria.
Absolute symphonic metal masterpiece. Asides the obvious, it makes the mundane, boring routine activities of my life feel exciting like an epic fantasy.
Jo Deep: “Hold Me ( Won’t Fail )” by Jo Deep.
My daily reminder that the reason I won’t fail is because I’m held by the one who doesn’t fail. ✨
Temitope: “Savior King” by Hillsong
I am reminded of His love and my response to that love all over.
Also, “Intentional” by Travis Greene
It reminds me that I have God on my side when things look like they are going south.
Tobi: 😁 Cliche maybe, but my pick-me-up song for a while now has been “Jireh” by Elevation Worship & Maverick City. I’m strengthened knowing that God has me in mind always and will sort out every need I have.
Stephen: “Children of the Light” by Lecrae ft Benjah…Vibes and good beats. Plus it resounds that we are children of the light, and reiterates our stance against trials that may weigh us down.
“Light up the Way” by Outburst Music Group helps because of the vibe, and the part that iterates ‘no one can stop us from doing what He plans.
“No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus” by Steffany Gretzinger
I like this one by Steffany because it reminds me that in spite of the ‘lows, Jesus still cares for me, he has been doing that in the past, and he won’t stop anytime soon. I’m in safe hands knowing he watches over me.
Morenikeji: “Rescue” by Lauren Daigle
“Rescue” tells me that I’m not too far to be saved by God.
“Lean Back” by Maverick City
Lean Back reminds me to lean back into the arms of my loving father when life hits and it reminds me that God is good and he loves me.
Phew! That’s the first part of the playlist. Now to the second part.
This one was contributed by one Lifegiva in particular. She just couldn’t resist supplying as many songs as possible. Haha.
Olamide: “Starts and Ends” by Hillsong United. This song is one song that makes me lay my burdens down. It starts by letting me know God had taken care of the most important thing, my salvation.
Though there are times I know I have to pray but I don’t have strength, I remember I have a reconciler who assures me of rest while telling me, “Lay your burdens down.”
“Letting go” by Stefany Gretzinger
This song first reminds you that on your own, you can do nothing. Although you may think you’ve been the one doing it yourself all along, but it’s been God.
Then when you feel weak, empty, tired, God reminds you that he has been the one at work in you all along bringing all your dreams to reality.
“I’ll Find You” by Lecrae ft Tori Kelly
God do usually find me and pick me up when I sing it🥺.
“Restless” by Jackie Hill Perry
In a way, this song kind of makes me realise that sometimes the reason I’m down is because first, I’m doing too much outside of God. Second, I’m not resting on Him.
“In Control” by Hillsong
This song is a mantra that should be on every believer’s lips. In fact, it’s literally you saying “In you I find my rest you are in control” to God, in every situation.
“PEACE” by Benjamin Hastings
I struggle with anxiety and panic attacks a lot. Benjamin Hastings wrote this song for his wife who also struggles with anxiety. The song outlines different things that could cause your heart to shake and concludes it by saying “Peace is a promise you Keep.”
“Held” by Natalie Grant
“Held” reassures me that I’m held by God, even in the midst of the storms.
There’s also “Highs and Lows” by Hillsong Young and free, “Promises” by Maverick City, and “All my eggs” by Ademola Makinde.
“Highs and Lows” first reminds me that there will be lows in my Christian life, not because I have done anything wrong, or I missed my way, but because life comes with it’s lows. But in the midst of it, he is with me.
“Promises” remind me that God’s word is final authority, he will never let me down!
It’s quite contradictory to put all your eggs in one basket. But this song makes me know that In God’s basket all my eggs are safe. He is my Father, he will never let me down.
In fact, the entire Chandler Moore “Feelings” Album should be on the playlist. All of the songs there are for down moments, from heartbreaks, to death, and pain.
And that’s all we have for you guys today. You can listen to the songs on YouTube.
