We all have plans. Dreams that we are chasing and ambitions to fulfil. We have to set goals, achieve them and aim at new ones. The human quest for success is just insatiable. Life has a way of cutting us into webs of endless pursuit and cycles where we lose sight of what really matters and can’t put what really matters in perspective anymore. Slow down. We are reduced to define what our life is worth being spent on by what we have been able to master or what we think we won’t fail in.
Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting (about your own plans) is evil.
James 4:13-16 (NIV)
SLOW DOWN! You have ONE life to live.
What would you have lived for if you had the absolute influence in making that choice?
What would you have done if all jobs, careers, professions, businesses, vocations or services pay/reward equally?
Do you know that one thing you can give up every other thing for?
What would you do today if you knew it was your last day on earth?
What is that one thing you will do, knowing that you can never fail at doing it?
I really hope your answers to these questions is one and the same, or else, give it more thought.
Slow down! Live now! Live true! Better still; ask the One that framed you up, “What am I supposed to be doing NOW?”

Move forward openly with curiosity and amusement with your passions rather than demands and hopes. Don’t expect it to go as planned but know that the unplanned may lead to the best later. Put on those long johns, say goodbye to the warm nest, and venture out into the cold. The best is yet to come.

This is very inspiring…many re just existing and not necessarily living..our lives aint our own..I think if evrybody live in d conciousness of this fact, the world will be a better place to live…
Nice. Well said. Thank you sir
i dont know what i will do when all things goes smooth, because i am a human. Human is dynamic atimes not showing consistency. Is only God that can answer that for me, bcos he knows me more than i know myself.
Very we’ll put. It’s always very important for us to know the difference between existing and living and also what exactly matters in life and priortize correctly.
To travel at a high speed in the wrong direction is no use. Thank you Lifegiva2.. we really should stop and ask ourselves these questions.
