What I want to share here promises to seal your confidence in God’s love and provision for you.
“I am the True vine and my father is the vinedresser…and you are the branches. John 15:1,5“
Let me ask you just one question; If Jesus is the Vine(the tree) of which you are a branch and God himself is the Vinedresser(the farmer), tell me who takes care of you? GOD of course!
Being connected to the Tree gives an automatic entitlement to receive care from the farmer, it’s not something you pray, fast, believe or ask for. Actually the moment you become engrafted to the Tree, you become subject to the care of the farmer. It becomes a right.
My dog doesn’t need to beg me for his daily needs, for nurture and attention, because I don’t have a business having/keeping a dog in the first place if I won’t be responsible for it, doing that will make me a wicked lord, to acquire a life to just put it through torture, and the Bible said that “God can be trusted” because “He is faithful, who has called us, who also will do it (1 Thess 5:24)”.
No wonder Jesus spent a great deal of time in Matthew 6:25-34, telling us that we have absolutely nothing to worry about; your life, what you will eat, what you will drink, the clothing you will wear. He said emphatically in verse 32 that “Your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things”.
Jesus called God your father. If a father denies his fatherly role of meeting the need of his home, you can call such a father “IRRESPONSIBLE”. That is one thing that I am sure God is not. In that same passage, Jesus said, if the birds of the air don’t farm and their needs are met and the lilies don’t toil or spin clothes yet they are royally regaled. Then you don’t need to give a thought of your life or your need but one thing “STAY CONNECTED TO THE TREE”, that is your sole license to having all your needs; provision, protection, nurture…met.
If God takes care of the vine, then you can be 100% certain that you are being cared for. Your needs is being attended to.
