There Is Something About Prayer

Prayer is an investment“. I bet you have heard this phrase before. But think about it.

I have so much to do that I spend several hours in prayer before I am able to do itJohn Wesley

The above statement for many sounds ironic, but I bet it comes from a deep sense of understanding of the great wealth and inherent ability that prayer possesses.

The time you dedicate to prayer isn’t lost, it will return dividends far greater than what a few moments spent on a task ever could.

When we pray, heaven meets earth. The power of the cross is called into play. The father lends his ears and indeed his heart. The angels pays attention to serve the heirs of salvation. A fellowship between the father and his child/children is made.

The urgent request of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect.

The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results

Sometimes, we don’t pray, not because we don’t want to but because we think we have other more pressing things to handle. Afterall, God will understand. This is so false.

That time is not lost at all. You’ll accomplish more things on your knees than with your butt glued to the chair glued to the desk.

Prayer is not our natural response, it’s a spiritual response. That’s why we must train ourselves to pray so that prayer becomes our first response rather than our last resort.
