“Hi Chika, my name is Zephaniah”. Out of courtesy that seems to be oozing from me without any prompting at all. I tried to return the hug from the big guy that was currently squeezing the life out of me. I am not sure we have ever met, but he seems to know me well.
“What do you think of my book?” He asked, the huge grin still on his face.
“Errm… I am sorry, but I am not sure I know the book you are talking about” I replied simply, shamefaced.
“Oh!” I saw a look I couldn’t decipher flash quickly over his face. But his grin was back one almost immediately, “Well, like I said, I am Zephaniah, the author of the book of Zephaniah.”
“Oh, I am sorry.” Everything beginning to dawn on me as an angel flies past us.
“It’s alright. I get that a lot, many people do not read my book. Not just me anyway. I have to go now, I see some newcomers coming in, let’s hope I get a positive this time! Bye Chika” he touched my cheek like my mom would do and walked briskly past me to the newcomer hoping to hear that someone has read his book.
I quietly thought back of my life on earth and discovered that there were really some books of the bible that I had decided not to read or simply skipped, and Zephaniah’s was definitely one of them.
“Please, where can I find the library,” I asked the next angel I met on the way.
