God is Good- Concerning Healing!

 Matthew 9:27-28

And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord

One truth displayed in scripture is that God is ever willing, ready and available to heal today and any other day. It is important to understand His goodness concerning healing. It is important to understand that healing is for everybody and there are no special set of people entitled to it.

The requirement for receiving a healing from God is simply believing not just His ability, but His willingness, His readiness to heal.

Throughout Jesus earthly ministry, He never made it a requirement for anyone to believe He is God before they are healed, the specific requirement is that they believe He could heal them.

The Jews still struggled with the deity of Christ- they thought that it was blasphemous that he will say He’s the son of God- but everyone of them that believed he could heal them was healed.

And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord – Matt 9:27-28

So the principle is this, everyone who believes in the healing power of Jesus can be healed. Even non-Christians (because many people have struggled with this), who believes in the healing power of Jesus can be healed. It is just like anyone who believes in the saving grace in Christ will be saved.

The thing about it is that you can believe in one and not believe the other.

He even healed his enemies..

Look at Luke 22:49-51

When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword? And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear. And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him. – Luke 22:49-51

He didn’t withhold his healing, Even for someone who was leading him to his death.

That’s our God!!! He is the healer
