“Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do.” Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
The journey to significance has been centered on doing something in order to leave a legacy. Knowing what you want and what you can do is a very important factor in our daily lives.
Being significant is something we all aspire to be. However, it does not come easy and it will not happen overnight. Except you fall into the very small fraction of those who stumble on success, a significant life will take hard work and sacrifice. It’s good to study the people who have done something significant in their lives. It will assist you on the proper path to attain your goals and dreams. When you study these people, it is important you take note of their habits, their ways of thinking and what they did. The journey to significance has a lot to do with doing what you probably don’t want to do now, more life acting out of ones comfort zone, so that later on you can do what you really want to. Pay now, play later.
What you can do is a matter of engaging yourself productively in realizing something extraordinary. It’s about identifying and unlocking the opportunities around you.
In the words of David Oyedepo, “Life is an adventure in opportunities”. Every time God desires to change the position of anyone, He presents him an opportunity. Very few see these opportunities, and fewer yet, seize these opportunities. It is not enough to see an opportunity; it is important to seize it and do something about it.
Look within yourself, look around you, follow your passion and Do something, there are opportunities everywhere even in adversities. You have no excuse, Philippians 4:19 says “you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you” the moment you get this right, you’ll be able to take hold of the opportunities you have around. You are not limited. Don’t wait for extraordinary opportunities. Seize common occasions and make them great.
So Dream Big, have high expectations for your future, be eager to be a change agent and make a difference in your world. You have everything to excel.
Remember, it’s not just all about you. It’s all about bringing out the best in others.
Successful people are always looking for opportunities to help others. Unsuccessful people are always asking, ‘What’s in it for me?‘ -Brian Tracy
