What do you want?

Young-black-man-with-head-007“What do you want?”  This question is a very important question and it’s asked almost every day and in many scenarios of our life.
Knowing what you want in life is a vital key to being significant.

A friend of mine particularly asked me in response to a post. “He said some people want to do something but they don’t know what to do, how can you help with that?”
As a matter of fact, it takes Gods intervention to be able to know what to do it and actually do it.
With so many opportunities around, and so many work around to do, you still find individuals who are looking for what to do. And this is one irony of life, people are idle even in the midst of work.
If someone haven’t achieved success or reached their potential, others love to say that “they just don’t want it enough.” And if they worked towards achieving success, they say, they would obviously rise to the top just as other people did.
Is it a thing of laziness? As much as Laziness does hold people back, most times it is not a lack of ambition, nor lack of time or money but a lack of direction.

The fact that someone doesn’t have a job or education doesn’t mean that person lacks ambition. There is a path to success. Many people will just suggest, “Go to school and you’ll get a job”, they never say which school, or what to study, or how to study, or what it feels like when you just don’t understand a concept but need to pass the final to graduate.
The truth is that there is a process in achieving greatness. It is not the end of the world when you don’t have education, job or money. Succeeding is not easy if not everyone would be successful, but just that something is hard does not mean that it has to be confusing. Many of us are hardworking, we just don’t know where to direct our energy. No matter what your goal is, someone has achieved it and laid out a step by step roadmap in covering major steps.
Seek out mentors. There’s something about standing on the shoulders of giants. You are able to stand stronger and see farther. You can’t do it alone.

No matter how you’ve planned your life, you can’t figure out the future because things change- Shift Happens.
So what do you do? Don’t focus on the future, rather focus on God and what you can do right now that will be good no matter what the future brings. Learn skills, make something, build something, go on adventures, attend inspiring events, meet people, and make friends. These things will help you in your future.
Learning is hard just like building something great is. Starting a business is hard, programming is hard, medicine is hard, writing a book is hard, running a marathon is hard, learning is hard, the process of making Gold too is hard. The best things in life are often hard so learn to be good with hard times, learn to live well in difficulty or discomfort, it’s all in the process to an amazing future.
Do things now that are hard on purpose. But start small. Avoiding discomfort is what laziness is. Push yourself a little bit with wisdom.
Learn to be good with uncertainty. Starting a business, for example, is an amazing thing to do but if you’re afraid of uncertainty, you’ll skip it. You can’t know how things will turn out, and so if you need to know how things will turn out, you’ll avoid great projects, businesses, opportunities.
There are a lot of distractions around. Social Medias, TVs, Gossips etc. you need to learn how to guide and develop your mind. Meditation is key to developing your mind.
Keep to your values, be honest, trust worthy, diligent and hardworking. Be committed to delivering your best in all you do.
One major fact about life is that you can’t know what you’re going to be or what you will even do and that’s why you really need to be in tune with God who is your creator. You don’t know what God has in store for you. You don’t know who you’ll meet, what opportunities will come up, or what the world will be like. If you know this truth, you can do anything you want.
A quick suggestion, if anyone mounts pressure on you to figure things out…lol Tell them you’re going to be an entrepreneur, start your own business and take over the world. If you prepare for that, you’ll actually be prepared for any career.
Therefore, if you really want to experience a great and successful life, you really need more than a desire, you need an actual process of doing something about it.

There is no excuse to remain idle. Do something! It’s not the end of the world.

Have a great week.

God Bless you.
