A couple of days ago, I was discussing with a friend and she complained about not getting any response from any of the companies she had applied to for a job and also how she longs to be in a committed relationship with a godly guy, but no one was approaching her.
She sounded really worried about both situations and was starting to feel like something was wrong somewhere, but I told her something I have learned personally and I’ll be sharing them in this blog post.
I titled this post “What You Should Really Be Doing” because I see worrying about things as unnecessary and unhealthy. Its okay to long for a good relationship, especially after a bad breakup/experience, this is something I can totally relate to.
But the main question is “Are you actually ready for a relationship or you’re just bored?” Because no relationship is perfect and it requires two whole people to make it work.
And if you’re sure you are, what you should really be doing isn’t worrying and waiting but working on yourself, ask yourself questions like, “What didn’t I do right in my previous relationship? ” How can I better?
You can actually use this period to read good books (I can suggest one – Dating Intelligently by Pastor Laju Iren), cultivate godly relationships, be involved in your local church, go for church gatherings. And I’m not saying you should do all this for the sole purpose of attracting a partner, but to help yourself grow and be better, be gainfully occupied so worry and other unhealthy thoughts have no space in your mind.

Share on XAnd about getting a call back from companies, what you should really be doing is reading more, researching more, read articles on “how to nail interviews”, develop your skill set, such that when you get a call back it won’t all come as a surprise or a rush to you.
